71. Go to Taco Bell

Hello everyone!

Last week, I had the chance to go to Taco Bell. Unfortunately, Rachel wasn’t there because she was at driver’s ed. Fun. Since the majority of my friends were with her at driver’s education, I invited my chummy, Autumn over. She’s one of my besties from school; we bonded over our love of British youtubers and hatred of AP Human Geography. Autumn is a very picky eater, and practically only eats bowtie pasta, creamsicles, and Taco Bell. It’s her favorite restaurant. Of course, with my health nut of a family, had never been there. So, when she came over, it was the perfect time to go.

My mom was reluctant to take us, so she made us stop at a super granola juice bar called Kale Me Crazy. A couple months ago, my mom had gone in there and gave the owner her recipe for nut milk. He turned it into a smoothie, naming it Grounded after my mom’s yoga company. She wanted to go in there to try it and for us to try some healthy kale smoothies.

I got a kale one that wasn’t too excellent, but Grounded was really good. If you live in the Atlanta area, I would recommend going there or going here for the recipe.

After that, we went to Taco Bell. As expected, it was in a pretty sketchy neighborhood.

I wasn’t terribly hungry, so I ordered two Dortitos Locos tacos, which I was pretty excited about. Autumn ordered the burrito box, which included the beefy crunch burrito, a crunch wrap and a Doritos Locos tacos. We also both ordered a Mountain Dew Baja blast. My mom didn’t get anything, as expected. She’s gluten free, and the meat there isn’t. I doubt she would’ve gotten anything anyway.

I wasn’t too impressed with the Baja blast. To me, it just tasted like a slushy. I was also a bit disappointed with my tacos; I couldn’t really taste the Doritos part. Fortunately, I stole Autumn’s beefy crunch burrito and it was heavenly. Words cannot explain how delicious it was. Even though Taco Bell’s food quality isn’t the best, I have to give them props for creativity. I guess they really think outside the box, or um bun.  I now am much more appreciative of the wonders of Taco Bell, and finally understand why everyone always talk about it. I hope to return sometime in the future, and am now always craving that beefy crunch burrito. Yum!

55. Pull an All-Nighter/68. Finish a Game of Monopoly

Greetings and Salutations!

Last week, my friend Elizabeth and I pulled an all-nighter. It wasn’t planned; even the sleepover part. Like most times I go to her house, I ended up sleeping over. Rachel didn’t partake in this item, mainly because she wasn’t there and we decided to pull an all nighter around midnight. Fortunately, Rachel wasn’t exactly thrilled to pull one anyway, just something I wanted to try, so it was all good.

We officially started at midnight. The way that we defined “all-nighter”, is we would stay up until the sun rises, which was about 6:30 A.M.. DSCF0009

You know how the boy scouts say, always be prepared!

12:00 – 1:00

Spent taking selfless, instagraming, tweeting our boyfriends, and gossiping while drinking way too much sweet tea and jamming out to the Jonas Brothers. That’s just the way we roll.

P.P.P.S. Make sure you follow us on twitter! We basically just tweet each other Justin Bieber lyrics. Too cool too cool.

We started playing the Harry Potter Lego game. It was my first time using a playstation or xbox.I clearly do not remember. I also had no idea what was going on the entire time. At least I was well kinect’d.

2:00-5:00

We started and finished a game of Carolinaopoly. Elizabeth’s family members are huge tar heels fans; it’s a bit hard to tell.

I was the banker. So young money.

I had no idea Monopoly lasted this long. I guess it takes longer when you have two very stubborn competitive people who don’t like to trade properties. My strategy was to buy all the railroads, or in this case “campuses”. Mission accomplished. I also went for quantity, and bought a lot of stuff. Since I got the campuses head on, Elizabeth had to keep paying me, which prevented her from buying more property. Her strategy was to waste all her money loads of houses/hotels, or degrees, on the orange area. She would then land on a railroad, and have to mortgage her properties because she broke.

Elizabeth had to pay two hundred dollar tuition, but she ain’t got no money.

Look how many properties I own. Hashtag winning!

IMG_1559

The game carried on for three hours, it seemed to never end. Lizzy would land on my property, lose money and sell her houses. Then, I would land on her property, give her a bunch of money, and she would rebuy her houses. For a while, we were pretty even except for the fact that I never went into debt. It was just really lucky for her and really unlucky for me that I kept landing on her trap. Then, I started buying my houses. I was always earning money and kept getting richer and richer, while she was struggling. Eventually, Elizabeth mortgaged all her properties, so that she was unable to profit from them. It was almost five in the morning and she wanted to watch Teen Wolf. Who could blame her. It was only minutes until she unable to pay me, and I won! At the end of the game I had almost ten thousand dollars. I guess when one person wins Monopoly, the loser loses badly and ends up with nothing. Sucks to suck.

5:00 – 6:30

We drank tea, watched Teen Wolf, and I almost fell asleep. It could’ve been bad, but luckily I somehow managed to stay awake. I was so impatient around six and too tired to function. I barely remember that part, except for the moment we saw the sun and moments later we climbed into bed. It was strange to fall asleep to the sunrise.

Mission accomplished!

90. Make Spaghetti Tacos

Sara, Sophie, Anabel, and I had always wanted to try spaghetti tacos ever since we’d seen them on the TV show iCarly. Everyone knows that episode where Spencer combines their two favorite foods, spaghetti and tacos, into one and thus spaghetti tacos were born. Then it became an iconic thing for characters on iCarly to eat. It’s simple to make but pretty hard to actually keep the spaghetti in the taco. Overall I would say they were good because who doesn’t love carbs on carbs??

29. Get a popsicle from King of Pops

If you like popsicles, you would LOVE a King of Pops popsicle. King of Pops is a company that sells handmade, all natural popsicles using local and organic ingrediants. They sell their popsicles from carts and you never know where there going to be so it’s quite exciting whenever you see a King of Pops cart. Sara, Sophie, and I saw their cart in Decatur Square and immediately went to go buy a popsicle. Also, they sell unusual flavors such as key lime pie, creamy avocado, blackberry ginger lemonade, lemon basil, and chocolate sea salt. I bought lemon basil, Sophie got raspberry lemonade, and Sara got a orange cream pop.

87. Write A Letter To A Disney Princess

I’ve heard around Pinterest that if you send a letter to

Walt Disney World Communications
P.O. Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0040

Disney will send you a signed postcard. They used to send autographed 8×10 colored pictures, but I guess they’ve switched and are now only sending autographed postcards. Still cool, but not what I was expecting. Anyway, Sara and I each wrote short letters to our favorite princess. I sent my letter to Ariel, but I honestly don’t remember what I wrote… Sara wrote to Snow White and all it said was, Dear Snow White, STAY CLASSY. Love, Sara. Typical Sarajane. We excitedly put our letters in the mailbox and three weeks later came our postcards.

42. Get every flavor and topping at Yogli Mogli

“Il est hace calor” as Sara would say in a terrible spanish accent. So, Sara, Anabel, and I decided to go complete #42: Get every flavor and every topping at Yogli Mogli.

There were 16 flavors and 40 toppings. FORTY. Sara and I piled on the toppings, probably looking like indecisive crazies. When we walked in there was only one person in front of us, but of course, right as we reached the toppings bar, about five more walked up behind us. Just our luck. Anyways, we told them to go ahead in front of us and then we finally reached the weighing station. Our beautiful creation weighed 18.25 ounces and was a little over $8. Even though it had the most bizarre flavor combinations, we managed to eat it all. Image 4Image 5

76. Create an Adventure Book

Hello everyone!

Today we did probably one of the most procrastinated items on the list, which was create an adventure book. This idea comes from my favorite animated film, UP. In the movie, Carl and Ellie create an adventure book with pictures of things they are going to do when they go on their adventure to Paradise Falls. Our adventure is this summer, so we filled ours with pictures of what we were going to do, i.e. our edited pictures on our Instagram, and pins and things we found on Pinterest and Tumblr.

our supplies

our supplies

We used many different materials that we found throughout the household, including random scraps of paper, duct tape, ribbon, stickers, a hot glue gun, string, markers and some printed things from the inter webs. We didn’t have much of a plan going into to this, but I have to say Rachel is the one who made it look beautiful. We knew the first page was going to say, “stuff I’m going to do” and she copied the font exactly like the legit adventure book.

IMG_5162I am not particular an artist, mainly because I lack the needed skill and patience. Rachel, on the hand, took her time and it turned out wonderful. I hate to admit it, but she practically did the entire thing. Aside from printing out the photos, I did about 2 pages. It would not look pretty if I had done more.

The cover is my favorite part. As another thing that Rachel did, it looks quite flawless.

We left half the book blank to fill we “stuff we did”, once the summer is over.  Hopefully, we will have finished everything. Can’t wait to do more! Let the adventure begin!

Farewell,

Sara

86. Wake up early to bike on the beach during sunrise

So, I don’t remember who’s bright idea it was to wake up at 5:30 AM to go see the sunrise, but I think it ended up bring worth it. I set my alarm for 5:30 and sometime around 5:45 Anabel, Sara, and I stumbled out the door and onto our bikes. We were all half asleep and it took me about ten minutes to remember how to turn on the camera. I even pulled a Frankie and rode off the boardwalk on the way there. But I wasn’t the only one who failed. Sara only put in one contact and managed to put it in backwards. We finally arrived at the beach and started our journey. I guess it was too early for us to realize how far we had biked, but we went a looooong way without realizing it. We got back home around 7 and immediately went back to sleep.

Hope you’re having a great start to summer!
